Coincidence ?

"Born on the 23d. September as the musicians: Bruce Springsteen, John Coltrane, Ray Charles, Gino Paoli, Ani DiFranco, Julio Iglesias, Albert Ammons, Marie Logoreci, Bob Gillot, Catherine Ribeiro, Eric Bogle, Corrado Castellari, Titta Colleoni, Cristina Donà, Chris Higgins, Jermaine Dupri, Layzie Bone, Rachael Yamagata, Natalie Horler. "

A True Alternative life

"COLUCCI doesn't smoke, doesn't use drugs, doesn't drink alcohol, and doesn't favor tattooing.
Perhaps his is a "true alternative" life style. Always searching for perfectibility, for his internal harmony and that of all his surroundings in symbiosis with Nature and a Pacifist life style".

Wandering easily among various creative forms, Pasquale, who already from an early age could draw and paint, also played percussion instruments with the Local Band while following his father’s footsteps, then a French horn player.

Pasquale’s love for the guitar arrives early, and very soon he applies himself to its study, firstly in his own Calabria, and afterwards at a very prestigious school in Milan, where he crossed paths with international level teachers part of a panorama engaged towards the development of a modern music and jazz movement.

After a long experience with various musical groups Pasquale decides to establish his own career as a ‘Soloist’. Thus, while writing his own music, and engaged in the composition and arrangement of his own tracks, which included the recording of battery, bass and voice parts, at the same time Pasquale acting as his own manager is engaged in all his career aspects – including up to the promotion and distribution end of his creations.

During his last years in Lombardy, being ‘poliedric’ by nature, he studies graphic arts and becomes a web designer developing sites for business from the late 1999s to today.

Besides having written and recorded several tens of tracks, recently we see Pasquale traveling throughout Italy with his “Personal Theme Exhibitions” thus, presenting and promoting to the public in selected cities and in an innovative way, his “Art and Music Coupled as a Theme”.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

My name is Pasquale. I am a musician and web creator, born in Cosenza in 1975, a second son into a family of modest but comfortable, circumstances.

As I was growing up music had already been an integral part of our lives because my father from a very young age had been the French Horn player with his local band during the 1940s.

During those times bands in order to reach the villages of Calabria and Lucania had to travel by foot for many long hours. Public transportation was not yet available in the rural areas.

After he met my mother and started a family, he settled in Oriolo (CS) where I grew up.

Following in the family tradition I, too, at a young age joined the Oriolo Band, playing the Tamburo (rulante) and Timpani.

Thus, starting on my way to a musical career…

At the age of 14 I discovered the guitar. After the first tentative playing, learned informally from various sources, I ventured into my first public performances with small local groups.

After receiving my “Diploma of Account Analyst” I moved to Milan to study at the C.P.M. (Centro Professione Musica) where I enrolled in their full program, covering subjects such as: guitar, theory, advanced harmony, musica d’insieme, coral chant, direct reading, ear training, performing, etc.

At the C.P.M. I studied with known masters, and professionals among which were: Bebo Ferra, Danilo Minotti, Roberto Cipelli, Donato Begotti, Peter La Pietra, Nicoletta Caselli, Demo Morselli, and Diego Michelon.

In 1998 I completed their program and received from the C.P.M. (Centro Professione Musica) the “Diploma in Guitar Jazz with Full Honors”.

In addition to C.P.M.’s regular courses, I also took private lessons from other professionals, for example,Thierry Zins and Gabriele Fersini.

As I continued on my journey of learning I enrolled at FSE (Premiata Forneria Marconi) where I studied Graphics and Home Recording with my friend Patrick Djivas, Bass performer at P.F.M.

Djivas, is one of the founders of the famed group “Area” and also an expert on “Computer Software Applications”. I am indebted to Djivas’ tutoring in regard to my current activity as Web Site Creator – an interest parallel to that of Composer and Performer.

During the seven years of my time in Milan I played with various groups – mostly with “coverbands” until I decided to concentrate solely on composing original scores - an activity I still pursue.

Privately, in addition to writing music and texts, and continuing with home recording I also play various instruments for my recordings, such as Bass, Percussion, and Voice.

At present I am seeking further improvement. Seeking further improvement I attend private lessons at the School of Music "Il Pentagramma di Bari".

In regard to instruments I have for years trusted my Fender Stratocaster, with its additional attachment: the “Mitic” Roland VG8.
